Questions
Q:
What time do I have to arrive for my surgery and what time
will my surgery start?
A: One of the
nurses will call you the day before your surgery and tell
you what time to arrive. This is usually one hour before your
surgery is scheduled.
Please
be advised, surgery schedules are not an exact science!

Center.
Q:
What do I do if the preop nurse hasn’t called me?
A: We
make every effort to contact you the day before your surgery;
however, in the event we cannot get a hold of you, call the

Can I drive myself home after my procedure?
A: No.
You must be driven home and accompanied by an adult for the
first 24 hours.
Q:
Can I drink black coffee the morning of my surgery?
A: No. You can
have nothing by mouth at all 8 hours before your surgery.
If you mistakenly eat or drink before your surgery, your surgery
will be re-scheduled.
